Kool Stop KS-LXB is designed for compatible Shimano Deore LX cantilever brakes and replaces the original Shimano M65/T brake pads and the corresponding LX-M565 type.

They are designed as replacement inserts that fit into the existing brake shoes. They therefore do not automatically fit all Shimano Deore LX brakes or standard V-brakes.

Check the profile and mounting system of the existing brake pad before ordering.

Installation

Remove the worn brake inserts from the compatible brake shoes and install the new Kool Stop pads according to the brake system instructions.

Make sure the pads are securely fastened and that the entire braking surface contacts the rim correctly without touching the tire. Test the brakes thoroughly before riding.

Package contents

    • 4 Kool Stop KS-LXB black brake inserts, equivalent to 2 pairs.

Kool Stop KS-LXB is a suitable choice for cyclists looking to maintain compatible Shimano Deore LX cantilever brakes with new replacement inserts from Kool Stop.
