NOS Shimano Gear Shifter Model SL-P211. Note: Only compatible with the Shimano Positron rear derailleur. Includes Shimano Positron push/pull cable (piano wire). This Shimano Positron system, which this shifter belongs to, was developed at a time when indexed external gearing was still in development. This was an early version of what was replaced by Shimano SIS just a few years later. A special push/pull cable, known as a piano wire, is used for Positron gear hubs to push and pull, respectively.
